Thank Goodness Beyoncé Is No Longer On The Master Cleanse Diet

According to associatedcontent.com, The Master Cleanse Diet, also known as the Lemon Detox Diet or the Lemonade Diet, was popularized by a book written by Stanley Burroughs. This "diet" has been a popular "secret" among celebrities and top models who need to slim down fast for films, award ceremonies, or runway shows. Most celebs don't publically admit that they use it because of its' unhealthy connotations. Some celebs who had the courage to admit that they've used this quick fix: Angelina Jolie, Beyoncee, Robin Quivers, and magician David Blaine. Robin quivers shrunk from 218 pounds to 145 pounds.
While on this "diet" you consume 6 - 12 lemonade like drinks, along with an herbal laxative tea, taken twice a day, and no other food is eaten (That just doesn't sound healthy!). The simple recipe for the Master Cleanse Diet is:
Two tablespoons lemon juice, two tablespoons Grade-B maple syrup, 1/10 teaspoon cayenne pepper and 8 ounces of spring or purified water
Joy Bauer, a nutritionist and the author of "The 90/10 Weight-Loss Plan", estimated that fasters who drink six glasses of the lemony potion a day are only consuming about 650 calories, far less than the 1,600-plus calories the average woman needs to maintain her weight. All I have to say is yikes; this is one celeb weight loss secret that I personally plan on skipping. I'm sure that you would lose weight on this regiment because you are essentially starving yourself!
Post A Comment: I know this is a controversial diet, so let us know your thoughts! Have you used this diet? Did it work? Did you gain the weight back? Was it worth all the starvation and poop?

my husband and I did this diet about a month ago by recommendation of a nutritionalist friend... I can't say it was easy, the "lemonade" tastes soooo bad (its the cayenne pepper)! Its actually pretty balanced, you get close to your normal amount of calories and the grade B or C maple syrup is loaded with vitamins and minerals. And the results were amazing!
we were warned that its never supposed to be a weight loss diet and so any pounds lost were strictly a bonus (and most of the time, at least some is gained back, just by having food in your system). Its designed as a detox and to reset the system. I had so much energy afterwards and it cured my husband of his hypoglycemia... if done correctly and under the supervision of a nutritionalist (because there are some pretty crazy side effects) i would definitely recommend to people!
most people who follow this insist on the diet being detoxing. they say that it's not about losing weight. i wonder if the side effects won't be losing weight, how many people would still follow it?
This is exactly what I needASAP so it looks like I am definately going to try it. Thanks for the info..! I would also like to subscribe to the weekly fitceleb magazine. When does it start and how does it work?
There are many ways to express yourself in real word. I don’t see the reason why all those websites are still popular
I wonder why so many people like to comment stuff. Why is this kind of spending your free time so popular? Maybe people have a lack of communication in real world? Maybe that’s because they have a lot of problems in reality and want to run away from them? Maybe they need new impressions and experience? Or they just got suck here? I don’t have a clue. What do you all think?
