Pinkies Up! It's Tea Time In The Big Apple Courtesy Of Visit London
Tuesday, March 16th, 2010 @ 6:00pmVisit London, the official visitor organization for the British Capital is brought a little slice of London to the New York City last Wednesday (3/10) with the opening of the largest free afternoon tea event New York has ever seen.
The unique, limited-time pop up afternoon tea event took place at the Time Warner Centre and New Yorkers were invited to come along to sample tea and cakes as well as getting a taste of London. The pop up afternoon tea took place to encourage New Yorkers to hop across the Atlantic for their next vacation to experience all the unique attractions, events and neighborhoods that you can only find in London.
“We are extremely excited to be bringing a little bit of London to New York.” said Jacqueline French, Visit London.
“London is a city steeped in history and tradition, but is also on the forefront of the arts, entertainment, fashion and cuisine. Only in London can you see Van Gogh’s Sunflowers for free, drink at Europe’s longest champagne bar or watch a performance on the stage where Charlie Chaplin trod the boards. We hope our New Yorkers will enjoy our afternoon tea event and take away a little bit of inspiration for their next visit to London.”

Svetlana Kuznetsova and Kim Clijsters Battled It Out In A “Match-Before-The Match"
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010 @ 6:00pm
WTA stars and Grand Slam Champions Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova competed for more than just the coveted Billie Jean King Cup at the BNP Paribas Showdown at Madison Square Garden in New York.
On February 28th, the reigning US Open and French Open champions officially debuted Fila’s Spring 2010 Center Court Collection as they played a “match before the match.” The Showdown Qualifiers tested their skills while wearing Fila’s latest collection when they play Racquet Sports, on Nintendo Wii™ head to head on the 185” Gardenvision screen at Madison Square Garden.
Center Court Collection makes its advance debut in New York before the rest of the brand’s sponsored athletes wear the collection in Indian Wells at the BNP Paribas Open. The Center Court Collection was inspired by Fila’s rich history in tennis but incorporates a bright and youthful color story of hot coral, viridian green and ebony. Signature pieces in the collection include a halter tank, gathered wrap skirt and color blocked sleeveless dress. The Center Court Collection ranges in price from $45 - $68 and will be available at tennis specialty retailers nationwide and on www.fila.com.

My VIP Tour Of Radio City Hall
Tuesday, March 2nd, 2010 @ 6:00pm
Taking the VIP Tour of Radio City Hall was one of those moments you value for a lifetime. Having been to Radio City many of times especially to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, I felt like a kid discovering the Wizard of Oz.
On the tour we were taken through the ins and outs of the venue, including a rareity - to step foot on stage! Our tour group felt so inspired that we tried to kick "eye-high kicks" that the Rockettes are so famous for -- but as you can see (in the below images) we failed miserably, but not without having a few laughs!
“Radio City Music Hall is not only a national landmark, but also an integral part of the heart and soul of New York City. The legendary theater’s intimate setting lends itself to hosting a wide variety of memorable events, shows, live performances, and special events which have become part of the Music Hall’s great history,” said Rich Claffey, senior vice president and general manager of Radio City Music Hall. “We are thrilled to share The Radio City Stage Door Tour with patrons to experience this exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at this historical theatre.”
Speaking of Rockettes, as part of the tour we had a chance to meet one of the members. In awe of her amazing legs, I asked her what her diet and fitness regimen consists of, she said:
"Bananas, a lot of water, and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches."
All-Access Tour of Madison Square Garden
Friday, February 26th, 2010 @ 6:00pm
I am one of those New Yorker's who hardly ever experiences the fascinating things that New York has to offer. However, as of yesterday I am proud to say I had the opportunity to get an All-Access Tour of Madison Square Garden - a place that I've been too many of times, but never really got to see beyond the ticket holder's seat!
Even though the weather was icy, snowy, cold and slushy - the trip was well worth it, because I learned about a piece of New York history. Here's what I learned (even if you're a New Yorker, you might be surprised to learn some of these facts!):
Madison Square Garden (MSG) has moved twice in its 130-year history. Starting its establishment on 26th Street and Madison Avenue on May 31, 1879, the building was named "Madison Square Garden" by William Vanderbilt. The "Garden" was then reconstructed in June of 1890 and then almost thirty-five years later, the Garden moved again to 49th Street and Eighth Avenue in November 24, 1925. With only being built in 249 days, the "Old Garden" would be America's premier sports and entertainment showplace for 43 years, until it moved to its new and latest location 33rd Street and 7th Avenue.
Tide® and Venus Williams Teamed Up to Launch New Tide® plus Febreze Freshness Sport™
Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 @ 8:00am
The launch party for Tide's new sports detergent, Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport, had a huge celebrity turnout tonight in Miami during Super Bowl weekend. Celebrities and athletes played basketball, mini-golf, tennis and other games in the sun at the W South Beach. Celebrity attendees included: Jamie Foxx, Kellan Lutz, Venus and Serena Williams, Gabrielle Union, Dave Annable, Kelly Rowland, Pete Wentz, Solange Knowles, Katie Cassidy, and Terrell Owens and many more.
Tide believes that premier athletes like Venus Williams and casual gym-goers alike deserve to look and feel like pros – pushing themselves to their limits without sacrificing style or freshness. While recent advances in clothing technology have yielded lighter, more comfortable workout wear, the same fibers that keep you cool and dry can also trap tough dirt and odors. To ensure that athletic apparel is clean, fresh and looks great for every activity, Tide introduces Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport, a new detergent designed to help remove tough stains and odors from garments that take the hardest hits. Additionally, the technology in Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport releases freshness as you move. Venus Williams is the face of the launch of Tide plus Febreze Freshness Sport.
