Have You Tried Of The Green Monster?
Saturday, July 18th, 2009 @ 8:03am
I'm on a greens kick. I have been inspired to eat more vegetables daily and better yet, enjoy them. What I've been drinking every morning might shock some - green smoothies. Vegetables in your smoothie? I promise you, it's amazing!
My favorite smoothie combination is a frozen banana, 1 c. of milk (any kind you prefer), a few big handfuls of spinach, almond butter, and ice. You can't taste the spinach and the drink is incredibly refreshing. If you need it a little sweeter feel free to add a drizzle of honey or agave nectar. I like the sweetness the banana brings out in the smoothie but if you don't like bananas, try other fruits you do enjoy. Experiment and come up with your favorite combo.
Green smoothies have taken over the blog world. It's known as the Green Monster to many and have become so popular it has started a movement. Angela from the blog Oh She Glows has created a separate blog to track the movement and provide inspiration to others on different stories from fellow monster drinkers to different recipe combos you can experiment with.
Want to take your green monster to the next level? Add some of that Amazing Grass! This is an easy and delicious way to start off your day knowing that you've had a few servings of vegetables and that you enjoyed it to the very last drop!

Raven Symone Called A Heifer By Co-star!
Saturday, July 18th, 2009 @ 7:56am
Raven Symone, the 23-year-old actress, singer, dancer and television producer has been called a “heifer” by one of her co-stars.
Debbie Allen, 59, in a recent interview with US Weekly promoting her upcoming movie "Fame," expressed her surprise when young fans knew who she was, when she realized it was due to her co-star Raven she said:
“I was wondering how they knew me and then they say, 'Do you know Raven?' I'm like, 'Of course, I know that little heifer! I love that girl.'"
This isn’t the first time Raven has received criticism for her image but says she has her own way of dealing with it. Whenever haters criticize Raven she just tells herself:
“I’m healthy, I exercise, I believe in myself, and I think I’m beautiful”.
Raven, who has done work in the past with Dove hosting workshops for young girls to improve their self-esteem, adds;
“You just have to learn how to transform the pressures into something that doesn’t soak into you on a personal level. You see it, you breathe past it, you don’t let it sink into your self-esteem.”
Sounds like she has a great attitude to combat all the negative comments thrown her way!
Shia LaBeouf In Full Stride
Saturday, July 18th, 2009 @ 12:01am
The 23-year-old "Transformers" star Shia LaBeouf is keeping his shape by jogging through the streets of Los Angeles yesterday morning (July 17).
Is it me or does he look a little too drawn in the face? I actually thinks he needs a little weight on his body from these pictures, but it could just be the angle of the pictures.
