Shia LaBeouf: Jogging Sans Shirt!
Thursday, July 16th, 2009 @ 3:34pm
He didn't let his finger-brace stop him from getting his run on and power to him for it!
Exciting news! The word around the celeb rumor mill is that Shia will be playing Mark Zuckerberg, the creator of Facebook, in a movie entitled The Social Network. The film is based on Ben Mezrich’s The Accidental Billionaires: The Founding of Facebook, a Tale of Sex, Money, Genius and Betrayal, which hits the shelves this Tuesday. Cool huh?!
Ashley Parker Angel: All Grown Up!
Thursday, July 16th, 2009 @ 3:22pm
If you recall, he also had a brief stint with MTV reality when he chronicled the making of his first solo album in There and Back: Ashley Parker Angel.
Gone are the days when Ashley was the buzzed about cutie patootie of the band. Now, he's busting out a fit (and manly!) physique from top to bottom.
He twittered about his chizzled chops, saying:
"me shirtless on the set…doing my best Matthew Mcconaughey"
Whatever he's doing, it is certainly doing wonders for eye after eye after eye... [;
Were you ever a big O-Town fan?
Six Minutes To A Fit You!
Thursday, July 16th, 2009 @ 1:38pm
Living busy lives means that sometimes a trip to the gym or going for a run seems almost impossible to fit in. The expression “there aren’t enough hours in the day” comes to mind as we all dash around trying to get everything done. For many people, that all-important workout in order to lose weight, increase endurance or just maintain overall fitness is a necessity, but that hour or more a few times a week can be difficult to put aside.
Wouldn’t it be great if instead of an hour, or even two, spent working out, we were able to achieve the same results in minutes?
No, this isn’t a commercial for one of those weight-loss products sold late at night on a shopping channel, it is actually the opinion of a growing number of scientists who believe that its possible to get fit in six minutes a week.
An experiment carried out at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada by Martin Gibala, studied the effects of interval training versus consistent exercise. Two groups of students were asked to ride a stationary bike. The first group was asked to cycle for 90- 120 minutes at a maintainable rate, while the second was asked to cycle at the highest intensity they could withstand for a series of 20-30 intervals for a total of two to three minutes.
