FitCeleb Tip Of The Day - Hot Squats!

We've all heard this excuse before..."I don't have enough time to work out!"

Well, that execuse is being thrown out the window - try to squeeze in a few exercises while you get ready in the morning, like these "Hot Squats" (link to watch below).

Even if you squeeze in 10 minutes of exercises throughout the day, 3 sets of 10 minute exercises = 30 minutes of a workout!  So something is better than nothing.

Watch how to do "Hot Squats."

Form: Knees over ankle (knee does NOT go past toes), feet slightly turned out, legs wider than shoulder/hip width, squeeze glutes (butt cheeks) as you push up through your heels working your glutes and inner thighs.

Remember keep your chest lifted and naval pulled up and in toward your spine.

Basically doing a squat while blow drying your hair!

Gatorade Honors Michael Jordan with Triple-Threat Drinks

Despite the fact that Michael Jordan's basketball days are long-over, his extensive contract with Gatorade is continuing to back up his game 100 percent.

The notorious sports drink company is releasing a Limited Edition Jordan Series to honor his induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame, scheduled to go down in September.

Each of the three new flavors corresponds to a certain phase in Jordan's career. The red label focuses on Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals; the gold label hails his continuing role in the NBA as part owner of the Charlotte Bobcats; the blue label celebrates his time at the University of North Carolina.

The Chicago Tribune asked their wine critic, Bill Daley, to adjust his palate to the new line.

Head on over to the Chicago Tribune's website to read Daley's complete review!

KFC's Vegan Sandwich Hits Home with Canadian Hockey Player

Canadian hockey player Georges Laraque gave KFC's vegan sandwich a big thumbs up! It was the perfect jump-start to his recent venture into veganism.

Laraque blogged about his decision to go vegan on July 4th, saying:

"I am pleased to announce that as of today I am officially a vegan. I am grateful for the hundreds of emails I received from vegetarians and vegans showing their support and sharing tips. As this is a all new for me, I invite you to continue sharing your experiences with me. A special thanks to the Montreal Vegetarian Association for their support.

Finally, I decided to invest time in supporting animal rights. I have already joined various animal rights organizations. I feel it is important to help the living creatures that don’t have a voice to defend themselves. I believe that we should all, especially public figures, raise awareness for this cause."

Power to him! As a fellow vegan, I couldn't be happier!

Celebrity Botox Fans

Love it or hate it, botox is one of the tip-top topics of Tinseltown.

Which celebrities are speaking out on the wrinkle-stopper and what exactly is botox?

According to Examiner.com, Botulinum toxin Type A (Botox) was primarily used to treat muscle spasms before gaining popularity as a cosmetic treatment.

Now, botox better known as a non-surgical aesthetic treatment administered by a doctor to treat frown lines. Botox works by reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause the frown lines that develop as people age.

Here's the celeb list of Botox users:

- Jenny McCarthy, 36, says she goes for Botox every 2 months, "My tricks are I get Botox in my forehead – I just have my doctor do a little shoter there. If you overdo, it looks bad."

- Vanessa Williams, 45, is a fan of Botox – even her character on Ugly Betty has her gay assistant give her Botox injections in her office. Vanessa gets injections in real life every 3 months.

- Daisy Fuentes, 42, uses Botox, "There’s a right time for things like Botox as you get older."

There are the nay-sayers too:

- Jennie Garth says she didn't have a good first experience with Botox. She told her doctor next time she wanted less. "I don’t want my face to change."

- Jennifer Aniston has admitted she once tried Botox and wasn’t a fan. "I tried Botox once. I felt like I had a weight on my head. You see women, you know they’re not young, but you can’t tell how old they are."

Looks Like Someone Is Heading To The Gym...

Looks like actor Jake Gyllenhaal wants to pump some iron as he heads to The Burn 60 Gym in Brentwood.

Don't know how much iron he pumped since he doesn't look that sweaty leaving the gym -- I would say he possibly showered at the gym, but he's in the same clothes.

For much more photos, get all sweaty this way!

How Khloe Kardashian Upped Her Health Factor

Let's cut to the chase. How did she do it? Good old fashioned cardio of course!

"I try to do just 30 minutes of cardio, mandatory," Khloe Kardashian, 25, tells Us magazine. "Obviously if I have more time, I want to do weights, but really that cardio is what works for me because I'm bigger. Cardio is what leans me out, and it still works your muscle definition too. Any kind of cardio."

But the key thing for her is to mix up her routine!

"I do different kinds everyday because I get really bored. I do boxing, I go on hikes, I do stairs," she says. "I'm always switching it up."

Khloe also keeps a close watch on her food intake.

"I eat whatever I want until noon. Then from noon on, I watch what I eat," says Khloe, who adds that she is also launching a diet product called Quick Trim with Kim. "I only drink champagne. 100 calories in a glass, and I'm good."

In my humble opinion, Khloe's made a couple of blunders:
  • When combined with cardio, strength training can totally lean you out. The "secret" is to use light weights (3-5 pound dumb bells).
  • By restricting her intake after noon, she is setting herself up for a potential binge session. Eating what she wants while watching her portions would be a better option!
