Susan Lucci Shares Pilates Moves On Rachael Ray

Susan Lucci is petite and tiny! She demonstrated her Malibu pilates moves on The Rachael Ray show today showing us how she keeps that tiny frame long and lean. This was her tecnique in getting into great shape for Danciing With The Stars.
Slightly different than the regular mat-based pilates, Malibu pilates is done elevated off the floor in a chair and is used more for dancer's strength training. Lucci tells Rachael Ray,
"The greatest thing is that it introduces cardio to a traditional pilates workout," she explains, "so you are lengthening, toning, sculpting really long, sexy lean muscles, and you're also getting that cardio workout. So you're multi-tasking -- it's the best use of your time ... and you're getting more stamina so you can you can go on Dancing with the Stars!
Lucci has been doing pilates for 14 years and Malibu pilates for 2-3 years.

Interesting ... worth looking into. I've never done pilates because it seems so inaccessible without a trainer and equipment.
