Kellie Pickler Drops 28 Pounds

As always I love the celebrity interviews that Fitz does from That's Fit. So here's the most recent regarding Kellie Pickler's 28 pound weight loss.
Kellie: Oh my goodness! My body has made a big transformation. When I auditioned for Idol I was only 100 pounds and kind of riding on "the young card." Although I exercised a ton, I think I stayed thin because I was ... young! But my eating habits on Idol and the during the tour became terrible. We were always eating fast food on the road and having late night munchies. I gained 28 pounds in less than a year!
Fitz: How'd you take it off?
Kellie: I had to learn to eat right! Fitz: How did you go about that? Kellie: I appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show and we chatted about it. She told me about the book Skinny Bitch which was both really enjoyable to read and easy to understand.
Fitz: And now how do you eat?
Kellie: I could eat fruits and vegetables all day, and I do! I don't eat almost any meat at all. Most people don't believe it, but I think what you do and don't eat is 80 to 90 percent responsible for your weight. Exercise is just a bonus.
The interview continues, so make sure to check it out! On a side note, I'm curious to read Skinny Bitch, but I'm afraid I'm going to be turned off by meat and never it again...I love my hamburgers! I've heard that it's a harsh book....has anyone read it?

Skinny Bitch is a great read, however, you have heard correctly. The authors are Vegan, and do not condone eating meat, dairy, etc. Being a vegetarian myself, I didn't mind the meat-bashing....but I still eat cheese! Overall, I recommend the book, just take the parts you don't necessarily agree with, with a grain of salt. The book is also quite funny. I found myself laughing aloud at some of the authors' comments.
Aw, great - thanks! I will get it asap. ;)
I have been wanting to read this book... I think I'll buy it tonight!
She's totally right, unfortunately exercise is just a bonus! It's ALL about what you eat (or don't eat). You are 100% wasting your time if are working out and keep eating the food that got you fat in the first place! Perhaps its not such a bad thing to get grossed out by meat, after all, it is pretty gross! :-p PS- You can get an idea about Skinny Bitch by just googling it, some of it is available online on Google Books.
I have that book and I honestly it's scary, it makes you afraid to eat anything other than fruits and veggies. They're also very rude about anything they don't agree with which turned me off.
it's not a nice book....it gave my daughter nightmares
