Did Pressure To be Thin Cause Eva Mendes To Develop A Cocaine Addiction?
Although official sources have not yet confirmed it, the buzz on the Internet is that Eva Mendes has officially checked out of Utah’s Cirque Lodge rehabilitation facility. Last night, Eva was seen hitting up the paparazzi hot-spot, Madeo, for dinner.
On February 1st., the same day that Eva was signed on to become the new face for Calvin Klein Fragrances, the star checked into the clinic for “personal issues”. It was rumored that Eva was suffering from a well hidden cocaine addiction. But my question is, what was the root cause of her addiction? Did her insecurities over her weight contribute to Eva’s substance abuse problem?
Eva’s Cuban curves definitely didn’t fit into the typical Hollywood mold. A source close to the star revealed:
“She’s just like any actress, unsure of herself because she is not a size zero.” - US Magazine
In fact, the star hired celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak, to drop from 140 to 125 pounds. Did her insecurities over her weight make Eva turn to cocaine as a way to cope and slim down? A source close to the star revealed that:
“She has many low self-esteem and body issues. For a lot of girls in Hollywood, cocaine makes them feel more confident and helps them stay skinny.” - US Magazine

its so hard to imagine eva doing cocaine because she just doesnt “seem” like the type who would. i hope she recovered successfully because she truly is a gorgeous woman, and with her curves, they’re at all the right places!

I dunno. I think she’s beautiful, and her killer curves are one of the things that sets her apart from all the others. I hope she doesn’t ever try to become a size zero.
